Philippine Assemblies of God

The Philippine Assemblies of God (PAG) is a non-sectarian, full-gospel family church. Made up of 80 churches all over the Philippines and satellite fellowships in Singapore and Italy, PAG aims to reach even the farthest areas of the nation–and the world–to expand God’s kingdom.
At PAG, we believe that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and that for all our questions in life, Christ is the answer.
Philippine Assemblies of God, Inc. (PAG) was established on June 12, 1965. It was a union of the pastors and churches of the Central District of the then-Philippine General Council of the Assemblies of God, with Manila Bethel Temple Administrative Pastor Rev. Reuben Candelaria at the helm as its General Superintendent. PAG is duly recognized by the Philippine government, and its pastors are licensed by the Bureau of Public Libraries.
Almost six decades later, PAG has grown to over 80 churches nationwide, with thriving fellowships in Rome and Singapore. It also has a close-knit relationship with Christian Renewal Ministries in Pittsburgh, California. PAG is continuously advancing God’s work in the nation, one barangay outreach at a time.
PAG is headed by the current General Superintendent, Rev. Bishop Renato L. Ongtangco, administrative pastor of Pasig Bethel Temple.
We believe that every word in the Bible is from God.
There is only one true God revealed as embodying the principles of
relationship and association as Father, Son and Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is without beginning
and end.
Mankind, by willful choice, engaged in what they know was wrong and evil.
This resulted in the fall of mankind from goodness, incurring physical and spiritual death.
Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus
Christ, the Son of God.
It is the act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.
All believers are entitled to receive the baptism in the Holy
Spirit, and with it, the provision of power for victorious Christian living.
The initial physical evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit in
Christians is speaking in other unlearned languages (tongues).
Deliverance from sickness is provided in the Atonement (Christ’s suffering
and death for our reconciliation with God).
All who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord are to be baptized in
water. The Lord’s Supper or Communion is a memorial of Christ’s suffering and death.
The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God
through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
A divinely-called and Scripturally-ordained ministry of world evangelism,
worship of God, and building a body of saints.
The Lord’s soon return is the blessed hope of all Christians.
The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the
saints, followed by the visible return of Christ and His reign on earth for 1000 years.
Anyone whose name is not found written in the Book of Life (the
recorded list of people who received Christ’s forgiveness), will be sent to everlasting punishment
in the lake that burns with fire, the second death.
There will be a new heaven and a new earth,
where righteousness will reign forever.
